Richard Ahlebrand, Business Area Manager for Infra at Sparc Group, describes the year as proof of what focus, the right timing, and a clear strategy can achieve.
- During 2025, we saw a clear increase in demand for infrastructure solutions. This gave us both the opportunity and the momentum to complete several acquisitions and fill our order books with projects for 2026, says Richard.
Of the Group’s total of eight acquisitions during the year, five were completed within the Infra business area, reflecting the priority the segment has held in SPARC Group’s continued development. The acquisitions have helped broaden the offering while further strengthening Infra with additional expertise in critical societal infrastructure, energy, and digital infrastructure.
Strategic investments in a growing market
The past year has been marked by a more challenging market within the installation industry, where a strained economic climate has intensified competition for projects and made margins harder to maintain. Toward the end of the year, SPARC Group began to see signs of a cautious recovery—particularly within the infrastructure sector, where investments in critical societal technology and power grid projects are once again gaining momentum.
- We are seeing more clients willing to initiate projects again, especially within infrastructure, where investments are often long-term and essential to society. At the same time, we are seeing increased activity linked to the energy transition and digital infrastructure. Taken together, this creates very attractive conditions for the business area going forward. The market development we are now seeing has laid a solid foundation for the Group’s continued expansion,” Richard continues.
Sparc Group establishes a presence in Norway
One of the most notable steps during the year was the acquisition of the Norwegian company Data Center Installation AS (DCI), marking SPARC Group’s first establishment and acquisition in Norway. DCI, together with its subsidiaries Critical Equipment AS and Critical Infrastructure Services AS, specializes in infrastructure for data centers and other critical facilities.
- The acquisition of DCI represents an important strategic positioning within digital infrastructure for us as a Group. It gives us access to cutting-edge expertise in data centers and creates strong conditions for developing our offering and managing larger, more complex projects together, says Richard.
He highlights that the combination of Norwegian specialist expertise and SPARC Group’s platform creates synergies that are highly beneficial to both parties.
- This is a step that not only broadens our geographical presence but also strengthens our technical capabilities, Richard adds.
Belief in the future and continued growth
Looking ahead, the Infra business area is characterized by strong confidence in the future. Increased demand, combined with the investments and reinforcements made during the year, has created solid conditions for continued development. At the same time, it is clear that growth is built on more than market conditions and strategy alone. The people within the organization play a decisive role in how SPARC Group continues to build long-term value.
- We enter 2026 with strong confidence in the future. The increased demand we are seeing, combined with our expanded capacity, means that we are well positioned to continue delivering value to both our customers and society at large. Our employees are at the core of our development, and by continuing to invest in expertise, collaboration, and strong customer relationships, we see great opportunities in what we are building together in step with societal development, Richard concludes.
